Semi-Permanent Make-up

Our decision to practice permanent makeup was inspired by our alopecia scalp clients who, once they had discovered a solution to their hair loss, were then faced with the challenge of no eyebrows.

Permanent makeup can be used for purely aesthetic reasons, as well as a solution to the results of alopecia and other medical conditions.

Micropigmentation permanent makeup is suitable for all genders.

Pre-treatment care

Semi permanent cosmetic treatments normally require multiple treatment sessions. For best results, you will be required to return for at least one retouch treatment be 4 weeks after the initial treatment.

Be prepared for the colour to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the treatment. This will subside and become lighter during the healing process.

Micropigmentation is not only ideal for restoring your hairline, it is also a perfect solution to pale, thinning or absent eyebrows as a result of:

  • hair loss, including alopecia
  • scarring
  • over-plucking
  • natural fair hair

Well-formed and sympathetically coloured eyebrows help shape and balance the face, perfect for both men and women. Micropigmentation creates the impression of individual hair strokes, resulting in very natural looking brows.

Any waxing should be performed at least 48 hours before the treatment.

Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for two weeks prior to the treatment.

We all lead hectic lives but want to look and feel our best. For some people, having the time to apply makeup is a luxury, plus you can’t always rely on traditional makeup to stay put and look great all day.

Applying makeup can also be challenge for people with poor eyesight or limited mobility in their hands and arms.

For the top and bottom eyeliner, we can create a fine line or a more tapered effect to give shape and definition to the eye.

We can also apply small dots between the lashes to create a denser look to the eyelashes themselves, making them appear thicker.

Any lash tinting or perming should not be undertaken for one week before AND two weeks after the treatment.

Please ensure lash extensions are removed at least a week prior to treatment. They must not be re-applied until after the second treatment has fully healed.

Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately after the treatment. Remember to bring your glasses.

Not everyone has full or perfectly shaped lips. For clients with naturally thin lips, micropigmentation can create the impression of a fuller lip by taking the outer line slightly outside of the normal borders of their natural lip, then blending in the colour to give a better shape and definition.

As we get older, we often we lose the pigment in our lips and they fade in colour and definition. Micropigmentation is perfect for both men and women, as you can choose a natural tone to match your skin, without a makeup-looking finish, or a richer, more vibrant shade to give the impression of lipstick. And, of course, you can still alter the lip colour by applying lipstick over the top.

If you have a history of cold sores, we advise you contact your doctor to obtain the proper prescription medication to prevent outbreaks. Alternatively, obtain medication such as Aciclovir tablets and use one week before and one week after your treatment. This can help minimise an outbreak.

Permanent cosmetics do not cause cold sores, however, if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the body and can be aroused by the treatment.

Lip wax or bleaching should not be undertaken for two weeks prior to the treatment.
